Granite is nestled at the foot of granite mountains giving it an unique and scenic atmosphere.  Granite has a public park with swimming pool, new playground equipment, new park pavilion, tennis court and basketball court.

Hiking and mountain climbing are very popular sports here, and with a beautiful Mountain for a backdrop.  Granite has a new walking and hiking trail.  Along the trail, hikers will find a kiosk, water fountain, picnic table, benches for resting and enjoying the scenery, and a beautiful butterfly garden with signs describing the wildlife and butterflies.

There is a Senior Citizen Center and a medical facility with a doctor that visits twice weekly.  Granite owns its Volunteer Fire Department and has a brand new Fire Station.  There are seven (7) churches, an ESA Sorority, and a Lions Club.

The spirit of the pioneers is alive and well in the people of this prairie community.
